Twin Falls Sheriff’s Office Donating Money to Cancer Patient

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) If you see a Twin Falls Sheriff Department male employee sporting facial hair or a female wearing a cancer awareness pin, know that it’s all for a good cause. In an effort to raise money for cancer awareness, County Sheriff Tom Carter signed a memorandum temporarily changing the office policy. Now, until January 31, 2013, for the price of $20 a goatee and $30 for a beard, men will be allowed to let their facial hair grow. Women are being encouraged to participate by donating and wearing a cancer awareness pin.
The money collected will be donated to 18 year old Colton Hanson of Dietrich, who is being treated for leukemia. Carter said, “This is a fun opportunity for our employees to participate nd raise money and see it help someone in our community.”
