300 Hispanic high school students are in Sun Valley right now getting ready for college.

For the 19th year the Hispanic Youth Symposium is being held at the Sun Valley Lodge.

The event is designed to give numerous opportunities to Idaho’s largest minority group.

Juniors and seniors from all over the state will be able to apply for scholarships and talk to a variety of college's. State Superintendent Tom Luna spoke at the event.

Luna says, "Its focus on education is what excites me about brining these kids from all across the state, every high school across the state, can give them the opportunity to see the advantages of post secondary education the opportunity to go to college."

Majority of the sponsorship is provided by Idaho National Laboratories along with other groups and Latino organizations.
