Former Twin Falls Judge Sentenced For DUI

Boise, Idaho (KBOI-TV) - A former 5th District Court magistrate judge has been sentenced to 160 hours of community service after pleading guilty to driving under the influence.
Nicole Cannon pleaded guilty and was sentenced Wednesday for excessive DUI. She was fined $1,278.50, ordered to attend 16 hours of alcohol/DUI education classes.

Cannon was charged in April after she was stopped by a Boise police officer. Two tests found her blood-alcohol level to be 0.239 and 0.221, nearly three times the limit at which a person is considered legally intoxicated.

Cannon resigned her judgeship in late June.

The community service was ordered in lieu of 20 days in jail.
