It’s that time of year again, to switch out your studded snow tires. The Idaho Department of Transportation reminds drivers that studded snow tires must come off before Thursday. In Idaho, it is legal to drive with the metal cleats embedded in treads from Oct. 1st to April 30. But after that time period...driving on studded tires on bare roads can cause extra wear and tear.
