Fire Partially Destroys Large Shed In Filer

Filer, Idaho (KMVT/TV / KTWT/TV) Filer fire crews responded to a fire that burned part of a metal shed this afternoon. Authorities estimated the size of the shed at 30 by 50 feet and contained tools and custom farming equipment. The fire in the Northern Filer area at Huddleston road and 4000 North, was reported at 1:38pm by a passerby. Filer Fire Chief Bud Compher said the building housed a custom farming operation owned by Denver Fine. Chief Compher said there was minimal damage to much of the contents. When the firefighters arrived the fire had fully engulfed the west side of the building. Crews had to cut a portion of the wall out in order to gain access. Chief Compher said no one was injured. They are continuing their investigation and officials are not yet ready to release the cause of the blaze. Two engines and a ladder truck with 12 men responded to the fire and remained on the scene for about 2 hours.
