Federal Aviation Agency officials are continuing their investigation into Friday night's accident at the airport in McCall where 2 small planes collided on the runway.

McCall's Public Works Director Bill Keating and 2 of his grandsons, ages 1 and 6, were killed in the crash.

A 3rd grandchild was rescued from the burning plane and taken to the burn treatment facility in Salt Lake City.

Chief Andrew Lemberes of the McCall Fire Department said, “We've been on some pretty gruesome plane accidents that have been pretty terrible, but nothing like this.

The pilot and passenger in the other plane were treated for minor injuries. Keating qualified for his pilot's license just last month.
