According to the Idaho Department of Labor, the Magic Valley has made excellent progress in employment over the past ten years and a new task force hopes to maintain it.

The workforce development alliance was created last fall to address the current and future needs of our work force in the Magic Valley.

According to officials, the Magic Valley was awarded a $5 Million federal grant to jump start future employee training in our region.

Officials say in the past the workforce has been primarily made of up those in the agricultural industries. But more recently the region has moved more towards manufacturing, which is the first area board members hope to address.
