UPDATE INFORMATION: Body Of Hailey Teen And U Of I Student Found

UPDATE 6:30 PM - The search for a University of Idaho student who was reported missing this past weekend is over after authorities discovered the body of 18 year old Joseph Wiederrick. According to news reports the student’s body was found under the Paradise Creek Bridge in Moscow Idaho today.
Police Chief David Duke with the Moscow police department said Latah County Search and Rescue discovered the body under the bridge in the 2800 block of North Mountain View Road. Authorities say it appears to be a case of hypothermia but a blood test will be completed in about three weeks. That test will determine the exact cause of death.
Moscow, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Moscow Idaho Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing University of Idaho Student from Hailey, Idaho who was reported missing from campus Sunday Morning. According to reports, Joseph Wiederrick, 18, had left a function at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity around 2 am Sunday but he never returned to his residence at the Theophilus Tower. According to the Moscow/Pullman newspaper, Moscow Police Lt. Dave Lehmitz said his cellphone was pinged two miles north of Moscow and Police Chief David Duke said a woman found him in her basement on Highland Drive around 3 a.m. He was asked to leave, and Duke said the woman reported Wiederrick did not appear intoxicated. He added the UI student has no medical history to explain why he would have wandered off.
His footprints were tracked east of town by Darby Road, which corresponds with the tracking of his phone.
The missing teen is described as 6 feet tall, blonde hair and brown eyes weighing 135 pounds. He was last seen wearing a striped hooded sweatshirt under a bright blue ski jacket, grey shoes, grey pants and a black backpack.
