Last Idaho Super Delegate Now Supports Obama

By Gina Jameson

05/12/08

The last uncommitted democratic super delegate in the gem state jumped off the fence today and threw his support to Barack Obama.

Idaho democratic party chairman Keith Roark had been undecided between presidential hopefuls Obama and Hillary Clinton - but not anymore.

Roark says he's joining the three other Idaho super delegates already committed to Obama.

Roark says, "I am convinced that Barack Obama can take whatever punch they throw at him, come out swinging and prevail on Election Day in the fall."

Obama now has a big lead in pledged delegates. In recent days he's erased Clinton's lead among super delegates - the party leaders who can side with any candidate.
