Unlikely That Luna Will Get Directly Involved With Minico Incidents

Despite what has been a heated situation involving racial tensions at Minico High School over the past seven days, it appears unlikely Idaho Public Schools Superintendent Tom Luna will become directly involved.

A spokesperson for Luna told KMVT today that the Idaho Department Of Education was there for any technical support officials at Minico might have and that several support team members from the department had been in contact with the school's principal.

Melissa McGrath with the Department of Education said Luna was up-to-speed on the situation at Minico, which involved two separate incidents with Mexican and US flags, and most recently the arrest of a student after they threatened violence
