Homelessness is an issue that affects both children and adults nationwide and here in the Magic Valley.

According to employees at the Valley House Homeless Shelter in Twin Falls... The number of those without a place to live continues to increase every day.

Sharon Breshears, Executive Director of the Valley House says, "There is a growing need in Twin Falls for more housing here at our shelter. At any given time we have applications on our desk and families waiting to come in."

Workers say more people have been applying to live at Valley House because of the rapid rise in gas and food prices, which is causing a struggle for many to pay all their bills and still put food on their tables.

Shelters like valley house give those in need a place to call home until they can get back on their feet.
