House Fire In Twin Falls

By Gina Jameson

05/13/08

A home caught fire in Twin Falls Tuesday afternoon. The incident happened at 212 Tyler Street just before one o'clock.

The twin falls fire department responded to the scene along with the police department - and blocked off the intersection of Shoupe Avenue and Tyler Street.

According to Fire Department Battalion Chief Gary Earl, the fire was caused by an extension cord that was hooked up to a small electric heater near the front window , which in turn caused the front window to explode because of the intense heat.

No one was in the home at the time of the fire.
