Some Popular Campgrounds Won't Open Until Memorial Day Weekend

The opening of a popular campground near Featherville will be delayed until closer to the start of the long Memorial Day weekend.

Fairfield ranger district officials say Baumgartner campground will not open until next Wednesday so that additional maintenance can be done on the facility.

The campground along the south fork of the Boise River is known for its natural hot springs and is frequently filled to capacity during summer weekends.
