Candidates for state and US offices spent time at a local high school to discuss views and promote voting amongst youth.

Second District Congressional Candidate David Sneddon held an open discussion in the US Government class at Magic Valley High School today.

Sneddon asked his advisor to come in and speak and also invited Republican Candidate for State Senate Doran Perkins to participate.

Sneddon says, "I brought individuals over today to have both sides of the perspective. I'm not here to get a vote; I'm here to be part of the process today. It's a unique opportunity to get away from campaigning and just do something fun."

Sneddon says that since many of the students will be eighteen by the time of the election - now is a great time to inform them about their choices
