Local Group Has Been Handing Out Free Books To Local Kids

Members of the local 'Foster Grandparent Program' have been handing out free books to local children to help start their own personal libraries.

Students in Magic Valley will receive just over five thousand books inside of a week.

Some of the characters in the books include 'Bob The Builder' and 'Thomas The Tank Engine.'

It's part of an attempt to encourage parents and grand parents to read to kids.

The Department of Education paid for shipping the books which will be given out for free.
