Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A Hansen man was sent to the hospital this morning after falling out of the truck he was driving. A Deputy from the Jerome Sheriff’s office said a mid 30 year old man from Hansen was eastbound on Highway 25 near the junction of Highway 50 at 9:16 am Monday, when his pickup door opened. The man fell out of the truck and onto the road. Authorities estimate the truck was traveling about 45 miles an hour at the time. The vehicle ended up in a field 300 yards from where the man fell out. The man was transported to a local hospital with neck and facial injuries along with some road rash. Authorities say he was not wearing a seat-belt and might have been distracted by eating food at the time of the accident. The name of the man was not released.
