A man charged with nine felony counts of forgery appeared in a Twin Falls County Courtroom this morning.

In a plea bargain agreement - 61 year old Larry Cassel (castle) of Kimberly pled guilty to three counts of forgery.

The first three checks written from Snake River Publishing and Advertising that Cassel tried to cash at local businesses last summer, and totaled just under $900.

Fifth District Judge Richard Bevan said, "Knowing that, do you still wish to plead guilty to counts one through three? (I do, sir.)

Do you have any questions for Miss Weeks before we take the pleas of guilty? (No, sir.)

Beginning then with count one forgery, Mr. Cassel, how do you now plead? (Guilty.)"

Cassel could face a total 14 years in prison for each count of forgery, with four years fixed and ten indeterminate.

The attorneys in the case are recommending that all three sentences run simultaneously.

Castle will be sentenced at 2pm on Monday, June 30th.
