Residents in several Magic Valley cities hit the polls Tuesday for separate school levies.
The Twin Falls School District was holding an election for a new member of its board of trustees. This was for Zone Five, which includes Morningside and Oregon Trail elementary schools.
Up in Gooding, the school district voted on candidates for the Zone Two seat on the school board; and in Castleford, voters decided on a two–year $300,000 supplemental levy.

The results are in for Castleford and school district voters approved the levy by 86 percent, with a total of 131 votes. 107 votes in favor for the supplemental levy, while 24 voters decided against it.
Twin Falls voters have elected Richard Crowley to the Zone Five seat on the board of trustees with 82 votes against 69 votes for Jeff Fox; however, this vote is not official until it has been canvassed.
For the Gooding School District it was a very tight race for the Zone Two seat. Out of 187 votes, incumbent Dale Thomas garnered 90 votes, while Lucinda Gillette Rogers took the seat with a total of 97.
In Cassia County voters soundly approved a $681,244 levy. 88 percent of 506 voters approved the supplemental levy for the school district.
Finally in the Shoshone School District, voters soundly approved a $299,870 levy. 74 percent of 175 voters approved the supplemental levy for the school district.
