Iraq War Claims Another Idaho Soldier

One of Idaho’s own was killed on Mother’s Day in Iraq.

According to an army spokesman, 24 year old corporal Jessica Ellis was killed by an improvised explosive device in Baghdad on May 11th.

Ellis, a combat medic was born in Burley and grew up in Oregon.

She had been on her second tour of duty in Iraq. Ellis was assigned to Fort Campbell.
