After weeks of controversy, the Twin Falls Western Days parade went off without incident.
You may have seen a new float in this year's Twin Falls western day's parade.
Amid controversy, the city allowed the Southern Idaho Gay-Lesbian-Bisexual-Transgender Community Center into the parade.
Mitch Silvester says, “When we first applied it was a typo. I don't know if it was omitted or what exactly happened. But on that application it actually said 'Southern Idaho Community Center' and we made several phone calls between the parade staff and they wouldn't allow us to use glbt for the parade.”
Devin Blackburn says, “I’m glad to be supporting!”
The group was put under strict rules as to what they could and could not have on their float.
