1st Annual Magic Mountain Relay Race Held Saturday Morning

By Jeff Gomske

Kimberly, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) 32 teams gathered Saturday morning for the first annual Magic Mountain Relay Race.

It began at Magic Mountain Lodge and ended at Kimberly City park and in total is 30.8 miles.

The fundraiser was organized to create a soccer team for Kimberly High School.

Currently, Kimberly High is the largest school in the state without a soccer team.

They require $20,000 to get the team organized.

It's too late to have a team together by September, but their goal is to be ready by next fall.

Speaking of which, next year’s race is already scheduled for June 28th so you'll have a full year to prepare.
