Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) - The 22nd annual Classic Cruisers Car Show kicked off Thursday afternoon with a 1950s inspired gathering at the A&W restaurant on Addison Avenue West in Twin Falls.

On Thursday night over 60 classic rides showed up for early registration for the chance to take part in the 2012 Classic Cruisers Car Show, which started Thursday and continues all weekend.

The show will continue into Friday from 6 to 9 as Main Street in downtown Twin Falls will be closed off to allow for the shine and show portion of this year's show.

For three hours the classic cars will line up and down Main Street to allow local gear heads the opportunity to come down and admire that unanimously American art-form of classic car restorations.

“And then we continue on Saturday. And we will be in the park on Saturday. And this year for our Rod Run, instead of doing a regular Rod Run were going to do a historical tour run. Which anybody is welcomed to jump in if they’d like.”

Said Twial Kanutson from the Classic Cruisers Car Club.

That historical tour run will start at noon on Saturday and will take riders from the Twin Falls County Museum to Centennial Park and then back downtown for a public tour of the historical grain silos.

Then on Sunday the show will be back at the Twin Falls City Park from 9 to 3 for one more final day of fun in the sun.
