Dog Euthanized After Biting Two Children

Heyburn, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Heyburn Mayor George Anderson has confirmed that the owner of a great Dane ordered it be euthanized after it bit two children on two different occasions. The dog was in quarantine for ten days to check for rabies. The owners still face a misdemeanor citation for a vicious dog at large in Heyburn.
A 7 year old girl was injured on April 5 after being bit by the dog. According to a police report, the child required 22 stitches to her forehead, lip and her mouth. Then in August of last year the dog bit a 10 year old boy. He was injured in the face and head area as well.
