Dead Boston Bomb Suspect Involved With Salt Lake City Golden Gloves Boxing Event In 2009

Salt Lake City, Utah ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, the Boston Marathon bombing suspect that was killed early this morning by police was part of the Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament that is held in Salt Lake City. Tsarnaev participated in the tournament in May of 2009. He was defeated in the first round, according to reports from CNN and CBS. It’s believed that he was in training to return to the tournament. He was defeated by Lamar Fenner of Chicago in the 200 pound weight class.
