Three Of The Ten Students Named By Idaho Power As Exceptional Are From The Magic Valley
Boise, Idaho (KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Idaho Power has recognized ten exceptional high school seniors with a $2000 Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Mary Brown from Gooding, Alyssa Stastny from Kimberly and Brad Gerratt from Hazelton were on the list. The scholarships reward students for their academic achievements, leadership potential and community involvement.
“These scholarships are just one of the many ways Idaho Power contributes to education throughout our service area,” said Vice President of Customer Operations Warren Kline. “Supporting higher education builds strong communities and gives these deserving students a head start in their lives and their future careers.”
This marks the 20th year Idaho Power has awarded the scholarships. To apply, students must reside within Idaho Power’s service area and carry a minimum 3.75 unweighted grade point average. Recipients also must be enrolled at an accredited Idaho or Oregon college, university or vocational-technical school.
