Man Leads Twin Falls Police On Short Chase

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Twin Falls police say they have arrested a 19 year old man, following a domestic battery incident. According to a police report, this allegedly happened at a residence on Highland Avenue. Captain Matt Hicks with the Twin Falls Police say they received a report of a domestic battery at about 5:30 am this morning. The victim identified the suspect as Elias Paz, 19 of Twin Falls. Authorities spotted the suspect driving a red Saturn at about 7:00 am on Highland Avenue in Twin Falls. Police began a short pursuit that ended on Deere Street. The “slow speed chase” lasted for about 4 minutes Captain Hicks said. At this time, Paz has been charged with domestic battery, eluding police and violating a no contact order. Reports indicate that either the victim or the suspect was treated for any medical injuries following the incident. Police are continuing their investigation.
