Four Vehicle Pileup Closes Portion Of Highway 93 Monday Night

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - A four vehicle pileup on Highway 93 east of Jerome last night closed a portion of the road for about an hour and a half. According to the Idaho State Police the accident just after 7pm happened in the northbound lane near milepost 57. That’s about two miles south of the 92/25 junction. Kellie Bayless, 27 of Boise, was northbound on 93 starting to slow down to make a left turn into a private driveway when she was struck by three vehicles from behind. Maria Gomes, 63 of Jerome was northbound. She did not realize the vehicles ahead of her slowed down, police say. Gomes hit the back of a pickup driven by James Taylor, 71 of Richfield. Taylor’s vehicle was forced into a car driven by William Vanderbilt 67 of Sanibel, Florida. Only minor injuries were reported by Police.
