Las Vegas Retired Police Chief Arrested

Las Vegas, Nevada ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Las Vegas Review Journal is reporting that a retired Las Vegas Deputy Police Chief was arrested Tuesday. This, after an apparent drunken fight with an off-duty North Las Vegas Police captain. Carl Fruge, 58, was charged with DUI, and battery on a police officer. The arrest was made just before 5pm.
According to reports from the newspaper, Fruge struck a womans car with his motorcycle about 4:30pm. Off duty North Las Vegas Police Captain Frank DeMartino saw the former chief exchanging information with the woman in a parking lot. Reports indicate that Fruge became confrontational and told DeMartino to Leave. A fight soon followed. Fruge retired from Las Vegas police about 7 years ago.
