Delay For Detour of Southbound Traffic Of Idaho 75 Near Ketchum
Ketchum, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) – The expected detour of southbound Idaho 75 traffic onto Hospital Drive has been delayed until next week. That, according to the Idaho Transportation Department.
Installation of underground storm water pipe will require a detour of southbound traffic onto Hospital Drive as soon as Monday Sept. 23 following minor delays with utility relocations. Crews are excavating for an underground storm water retention pond at the former Dean’s Tire location and work is moving to the center of the roadway to install the manholes and pipe system.
Once the detour begins, the southbound lane between the north and south access points of Hospital Drive will be closed and traffic diverted from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Flaggers will be stationed at the Hospital Drive stop sign and at the traffic signal to maintain traffic movement.
Southbound traffic will be returned to the highway prior to the afternoon rush each day. The pipe installation is expected to be completed by Sept. 27. Northbound traffic will not be affected during the detour.
