I-84 Bridge Work Begins At Heyburn Interchange Monday

Heyburn, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) – A bridge resurfacing project beginning next week will include speed and width restrictions on Interstate 84, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Crews will start Monday March 17 to resurface the Heyburn Interchange overpass bridges (Exit 211) between Burley and Declo. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Work is expected to be completed by early July.
Work will be limited to one bridge at a time. Crews will remove the driving surface, pour a new concrete surface, and perform other maintenance necessary to each bridge. Access to the on- and off-ramps to I-84 will be maintained throughout, but drivers are reminded to use caution and watch for lane shifting and merging traffic around the interchange.
A 65-mph speed limit will be in effect for through traffic, and a 45-mph speed limit for traffic entering and exiting I-84. A 13-foot width limit also will be in effect through the work zone.
The work by Cannon Builders, of Blackfoot, is part of a $2.6 million bridge-rehabilitation contract.
