A grizzly scene in Jerome Saturday when one person was fatally shot and another was injured.
22 year old Javier Zavala-Paniagua died at Saint Benedict's Medical Center.
The other victim, 41 year-old Maria Leon, is currently listed in serious condition at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise.
Jerome Police arrested 72 year-old Fortino Garcia Leon in connection with the shooting.
police say the female victim and the suspect were married.

Jerome Police Dept. Chief Dan hall says “Charges will most likely be filed on Monday by the Jerome County Prosecutor's Office.”
The incident occurred just before 11AM Saturday morning on the 200 block of 5th Avenue East.
And what neighbors say was once a quiet street is now becoming the focus of police investigations.

Neighbors say a lot of children play outside on the street, and many were outside yesterday when the city's first shooting death of the year took place.
