Court date for Leon Postponed

A Jerome man charged with shooting his wife and fatally wounding another man about two weeks ago, was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

72 year old Fortino Garcia Leon is charged with first degree murder in the death of 22 year old Javier Zavala Paniagua.

Leon also faces battery charges for allegedly shooting his wife - 41 year old Maria Leon twice.

The older man's preliminary hearing was set for 1:30 Thursday afternoon, but was postponed and hasn't been rescheduled yet.
