Man Dies While Swimming During The Spudman Race

A Utah man died during today’s Spudman race in Burley after he was swimming and went underwater.
Cassia County Sheriff officials responded to the scene just before eight this morning.
The victim has been identified as 60 year old Donald Morehouse from Provo, Utah.
According to witnesses in the race, a man had called for help and disappeared under water.
Officers say several attempts were made to rescue Morehouse and after about 30 minutes a Member of the Cassia dive team found the victim in about 10 feet of water.
He was transported to the cassia hospital where he was declared dead.
The incident is still under investigation.
