Bowe Bergdahl Health Continues To Improve Daily
Landstuhl, Germany ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Army officials report that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl remains in stable condition at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center where his doctors say his health continues to improve daily. Sgt. Bergdahl is conversing with medical staff and becoming more engaged in his treatment care plan, according to doctors treating him who said he is also resting better and showing signs of improvement.
Sgt. Bergdahl was returned to the U.S. military on May 31 after almost five years in captivity and arrived at LRMC a day later. The full focus of the LRMC medical team is to provide the necessary medical care and a safe environment for his complete recovery. However, there is no predetermined timeline for Sgt. Bergdahl’s recovery process at LRMC. The duration will continue to be based on the pace of his healing and reintegration process.

During this phase of reintegration, Sgt. Bergdahl is receiving more complete medical exams. An inherent and critical part of the reintegration process is a decompression period that has been established to maximize returnee health and welfare.
