08/07/08

Officers continue to search for a man they believe may be connected to a home invasion over the weekend.

According to the Minidoka County Sheriffs office they still need your help to locate the man who brutally beat a husband and wife in their own home at 100 West and 270 North in Rupert.

One of the victims, Merced Jose Rodriquez, died from his injuries on the way to the hospital.

Officers continue to follow a number of leads, but aren't releasing any more information at this time.

The suspect is still being described as a light skinned heavy set male.

He was believed to have escaped by foot heading south.

Officers say it appears he used a Mag type flashlight or baseball bat in the assault.

If you have any information you’re encouraged to call the Minidoka Sheriff Office at 434-2320
