Two Fires Ignite On Southern Idaho BLM Lands

Shoshone, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Two wildfires ignited Wednesday evening, one near Kimama and the other north of Hagerman.
The Track Fire, located two miles west of the Kimama, is burning in grass and brush. An engine crew positioned at the Kimama Guard Station was able to quickly respond to the fire, and it burned 28.4 acres. It was contained at 9 p.m., with control at 10 p.m., there were no structures threatened.
The Malad Tower Fire is located three miles north of Hagerman. Last night, the Bureau of Land Management had several engines, one dozer, two hand crews, one water tender and the Saylor Creek Range Land Fire Protection Association battled the blaze. The fire was controlled at 375 acres around 8pm. Containment was declared at 10pm. It burned grass and brush. No structures were damaged.

The cause of these fires is under investigation.
