Twin Falls Continues To Clean Up After Rainstorm

By Paul Johnson

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Managers, law enforcement and public works personnel are continuing to monitor the effects of the huge rainstorm that dumped 2 and a half inches of water Wednesday. Twin Falls Police Sergeant Dennis Pullin said, “A few hour break from the rain along with the Twin Falls Canal Company’s reduction of flow has given the city infrastructure a reprieve. The waste water system is at a very manageable level, and roadways are drying. At this time the Eastland underpass is open, along with Poleline Road and Cheney Drive. The Canyon Springs grade and all of the walking trails will remain closed. We encourage drivers to remain vigilant in safe driving practices, and to stay away from any remaining barricaded areas.”

Pullin said officials continue to encourage citizens to report concerns or flooding to dispatch at 735-4357, 3-1-1 or 9-1-1, and appreciate your cooperation during this unique weather event.
