TFPD National Night Out Event Rescheduled

By Paul Johnson

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Last week’s rainstorm delayed the 4th Annual National Night Out event, so, according to Dennis Pullin with the Twin Falls Police department, they have rescheduled for Tuesday, August 12. The Police Department in partnership with Target will host the event at the Twin Falls City Park from 5 to 8pm. This is event is held across the nation every year to provide an opportunity for the citizens to come out and meet their local law enforcement agencies and first responders to partner in the fight against crime. This is a great opportunity to bring the family out and see the tools of the trade which your local agencies use.

This year, we have several agencies scheduled to be on site at the City Park, to include the Twin Falls Police Department, Twin Falls Fire Department, Twin Falls Sheriffs Office, CSI Law Enforcement, SLMVRMC Paramedics, Idaho State Police, BLM, Forrest Service and the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. A few of the displays we will have are SWAT, HDU (bomb team), Traffic Team, Crime Lab, Detectives, Patrol and our Bike Team. The TFSO is bringing some cool stuff as well.

If this does not entice you, we will also have free hotdogs donated by Falls Brand. Target will have a few entertaining activities for children to include a Laser gun safety booth, Angry Birds, and a craft type booth.
