A national guardsman could face charges after he allegedly misused a loaned Gooding County vehicle.

According to the Twin Falls Police Department a 35 year old pilot with the Nevada National Guard will be charged with inattentive driving.

This stems from an incident early Monday morning when police were called to the comfort inn just off of pole line.

Police say a witness saw an unmarked s-u-v driving erratically in the hotel parking lot. The witness told police some one was using the siren and p-a.

Shortly after, the witness said three men got out of the vehicle with what appeared to be alcohol and went into the hotel.

Police later showed up and where able to locate the three men who cooperated.

The vehicle was on loan to the three guardsmen from the Gooding County Sheriff's Department.

The men were helping the county in a drug eradication operation.

No one with the county was involved in the incident and later retrieved the vehicle
