Accident On I-84 Sends Four People To The Hospital
Twin Falls, ID
Two separate accidents sent four people to the hospital and caused heavy traffic on the interstate today.
Idaho State Police responded to mile post 195 at around 10:20 this morning.
According to Sergeant Kevin Haight, a green Ford Mustang traveling westbound made contact with a semi-truck.
The driver of the Mustang then lost control and rolled into the median.
While officers were on scene, a pickup also going westbound drove up on the scene nearly hitting a patrol car, swerved and missed then rolled into the median-almost striking the vehicle from the first accident.
The female passenger in the truck was ejected and the male driver was trapped inside.
Haight says, "This is a classic example of what happens with inattentive driving. You are responsible of your vehicle and being in control of it at all times."
Four people including a young child were transported to the hospital with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was uninjured.
The accidents remain under investigation.
Sergeant Haight reminds the public to obey the ‘move-over law’ anytime you see emergency vehicles.
