Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Tuesday, Law enforcement agencies from every Department in Twin Falls County made their way to the City Park for the 29th annual National Night Out.

This nationwide night of fun and education was set up to help give law enforcement agencies a chance to get out and meet the public in an open and family fun environment.

Representatives from the Twin Falls Police Department, The Twin Falls Bomb and Swat Teams, Twin Falls County, State Troopers and local Fire Fighters were just a few of the agencies represented at Monday nights block party.

Last year around 15,000 communities took part in National Night Out.

And in all, over 37 million people participated.

And here in Twin Falls the families were out in full to show their support for these local heroes.

“This is an opportunity for the police to interact with the community in what we consider to be a positive way. It’s a chance for the public to come out and get a chance to meet the officers from a number of agencies. So it’s kind of a public safety night.”
Said Twin Falls Police Chief – Brian Pike.

Now it wasn't all the boys in blue helping to put on this nationwide block party.

Staff from the local Target Store were also out at the park helping to organizing games and make food.
