Twin Falls Parks and Rec looking for a swap

By Benito Baeza

11/10/08

Twin Falls Parks and Recreation and the Urban Renewal Agency are looking at swapping some land for services.

Parks and recreation is asking for a little more than 1100 square feet next to their current facility. The land owned by the URA is currently being used by Parks and Rec as a leaf dump area.

The proposal would call for the URA to give Parks and Rec the land in exchange for maintenance for other URA properties. Parks and Rec currently services URA owned land.

The land would be used as storage area for vehicles and machinery parks and recreation use.

A decision has been tabled for now but URA members agreed with the proposal.
