Idaho State University is among institutions bracing for additional cost-cutting, as slumping economy dents tax revenue that pays for services such as higher education.
After Governor ``Butch'' Otter in September ordered a 1 percent holdback for virtually all Idaho agencies, the school in Pocatello slashed 744 thousand from its 2009 budget.
ISU's top finance officer says he's preparing for additional cuts of as much as 7 point 5 percent.
Officials told the Idaho state-journal, there's going to be more than a 2 point 5 percent holdback.
And they say the projections are not good.
