One of two men charged in a beating in Twin Falls last April was sentenced today.

At the end of April last year, 40 year old Chad Loren Wahl and Jason Robert Stanley, allegedly attacked 36 year old Robert Trogilia in his home at 1630 Highland Avenue East in Twin Falls.

Trogilia testified that the two men beat him up with brass knuckles and bare fists and held him against his will.

Wahl was charged with aggravated battery, burglary, robbery, and first degree kidnapping in the incident.

Prosecutor Suzanne Craig said "This defendant admitted that he did go to a man's house to take some of his property by force or by fear. And that he also was involved in a fight with the man whose home it was."

In august, Wahl pled "not" guilty to all the charges, but then changed his plea to "guilty" to aggravated battery and robbery in November when the other two charges were dismissed.

Defense Attorney Daniel Brown said, "We do not wish to take away from the seriousness of this crime, Your Honor. And so we would as for a sentence of five to ten, five years fixed."

Wahl addressed the court and said, "I truly apologize for my actions. And I know that if it wasn't for me being so prideful, this never would have happened."

On the aggravated battery charge, judge randy stoker sentenced Wahl to 15 years in prison, 8 years fixed, 7 indeterminate. For the robbery charge, stoker ordered Wahl to serve 20 years in prison, with 8 of those years fixed. The two sentences will run at the same time.
