Valencia-Bolano's trial to begin the 21st

The trial for a man charged with grand theft in Gooding is still set to begin next Wednesday morning.

24 year old Jesus Valencia-Bolanos was originally charged with grand theft and accessory to first degree murder, after the body of 30 year old Gustavo Flores-Quintana was found near the Big Wood River in Gooding, on November 9th, 2007.

The murder charge was dropped in May of last year.

Defense attorney Joe James addressed the court and said, "Based on that, Your Honor, I simply anticipate we'd be going to jury trial, with a continued pre-trial on the 20th may be prudent."

James told District Judge Barry Wood that he expected the trial would take about three days and Gooding County Prosecuting Attorney Calvin Campbell agreed.

The trial is still set to begin on January 21st.
