Baker hand writes 25 page petition

A Twin Falls woman who pled guilty to first degree murder in the December 2006 murder of a Hazelton man – now wants to get out of jail.

In April of last year, Nicole Lea Baker was sentenced to twelve years to life in prison for her part in the death of Jesse Aaron Coats.

Baker says she was kidnapped, tortured, and raped repeatedly.

Baker 'hand wrote' a 25 page petition – in which she says the prosecutor resorted to scare tactics and that she made her guilty plea under duress.

Twin Falls County Prosecutor Grant Loebs says that baker being threatened by her co–defendants is "not" an excuse to commit murder.

He says Baker pled guilty when she had attorneys advising her and that she's simply looking to avoid responsibility and punishment for her actions.

Loebs says Baker appealed the judge's decision and the Idaho Court Oof Appeals has already denied her appeal.
