With the economy affecting how Americans live and make purchases these days.
Some are having to cut back when it come to planning weddings.
Planning a wedding takes careful decision making.
Flowers - cake - a venue it can be a lot to handle and especially when you are on a budget.
But despite economic woes facing the country - a local tux and gown shop owner says it affects them -- but only to a certain extent.
John Hart says, "There are always brides and grooms getting married every year and they still want to make this a special event. For most people this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and the want to make this the best they can."
John Hart predicts a strong summer for weddings, but believes people will make some cutbacks.
Hart says, "Obviously people make cuts on some things for their wedding but it still will be happening and they're still going to come out and see what they can do to make it a special success."
And some say the economy is changing the way they plan their weddings.
One Bride to be says, "Not spending as much money I guess."
"it's putting a crunch on the whole thing."
For Shane Gardner and Jamie Cummings - it's difficult because Jamie who has a college degree has been searching for a job for 6 months.
Shane Gardner and Jamie Cummings says, "It's hard trying to find a job trying to get money for our wedding with the economy the way it is. But we keep on trying and hopefully we'll make it."
