Local churches hold silent abortion protests

A number of local churches are teaming up to fight abortion. Magic Calleys churches including Light House Christian have joined the nationwide movement 40 Days for Life Campaign.

For more than a week people have gathered in front of the Twin Falls Planned Parenthood Office, however, the protest is silent with only prayers being said.

The event is being held in conjunction with Lent. It started last Wednesday and will continue until Easter.

Meanwhile, Saint Edwards Catholic Parish has marked the anniversary of Roe verses Wade for more than 10 years now.

They do so by placing a thousand white crosses on the lawn of its Guadalupe Center near CSI.

The group that places the crosses says it represents the number of abortions conducted each day.

Saint Edwards Parish is also one of the churches involved in the 40 Days for Life Vigil.
