Three people were taken to the hospital after a small car struck a semi–truck in Jerome.
According to Idaho State Police officials, 24 year old Kenneth Koch of Twin Falls was travelling westbound on Main Street in Jerome when the car he was driving ran into the back end of a semi–trailer, that was turning eastbound onto Main Street.
Koch was air–lifted to St. Luke's Magic Valley with non–life threatening injuries. Two children, ages 2 and 4, were also in the car and were transported to the hospital by ground ambulance with non–life threatening injuries.
Police shut down the railroad temporarily while they worked at the scene.
It is not known if the two children in the vehicle were related to the driver, and their names have not been released at this time.
Police say Koch was not wearing a seatbelt.
