In an update on a story that we reported on yesterday, it was ruled in the case of a 73 year old Jerome Man accused of allegedly shooting his wife twice and allegedly killing another man last summer - is not mentally fit to stand trial at this time.
In an order filed yesterday in Jerome county court, a chief psychologist for the department of corrections issued a report stating that 73 year old Fortino Garcia Leon 'lacked the capacity to assist in his own defense.
So a status hearing has been scheduled for 180 days from now to assess Leon's mental state again; that hearing is set for October 15th at 9am.
